Overview

First, you will join the first tour for a narrated and scenic drive from SF across the Golden Gate Bridge, explore the beauty of Giant Coastal Redwoods at Muir Woods, and appreciate the astonishing views from Sausalito's picturesque waterfront. We usually make a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge.
We will spend one hour and 20 minutes in the Muir Woods and about one hour in Sausalito, where you can enjoy the stunning views of the bay, bridges, and downtown SF. Visit local art galleries, souvenir stores, have lunch in a seafood restaurant.
The second driver/guide will pick you up from Sausalito.
On your way, you will see St. Quintin, the Mission San Rafael, and Marin Civic Center building by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Muir Woods National Monument

Enjoy the natural beauty of Coastal Sequoias! Muir Woods National Monument is a National Monument named after naturalist John Muir. It is located on Mount Tamalpais near the Pacific coast in SW Marin County and is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, just 12 miles (19 km) north of SF. It protects 554 acres (224 ha) of which 240 acres (97 ha) are old growth coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) forests, the tallest living objects on Earth. Due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, the forest is regularly shrouded in a coastal marine layer fog. It remains cool and moist year-round with daytime temperatures averaging between 40 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit (4 to 21 °C). Millions of years ago ancestors of redwood and sequoia trees grew throughout North America. Today, the Sequoia sempervirens can be found only in a narrow, cool coastal belt from Monterey County, California, in the south to Oregon in the north.

Visit Sausalito! Amazing views of the bay, downtown, and Bay Bridge! Always on the top of the most beautiful little cities in America! Strategically located on Pacific Coast HW, it was home to Ferries, running to Hyde Str. Pier in SF. During WWII it was home to a major Marinship shipyard where the Liberty ships were built. In the late 1960s, the houseboat communities occupied the waterfront along and adjacent to Sausalito's shore. If you want to spend more time there, you can take the Ferry back to the city, it costs about $15 extra. Great Seafood Restaurants! Art Galleries!
