San Francisco Escape Games

We loved the Escape the City boxes. We just did the Castro box and previously did the other San Francisco box a few years earlier. We live just outside the city and this was a fun activity for a few hours. It made us notice things that we previously never did- and later when visiting the area we were reminded of our experience.The clues were hard but clever- but the optional hints made it easier. It’s my only escape room experience, but my kids found it familiar to other escape rooms.$50 seemed like a lot at first for the box. But it’s such a great deal- it was great entertainment for our family of four for several hours. More affordable than a traditional escape room and much nicer to be outside and at your own pace.I liked the Castro neighborhood better than SOMA but both were good. But be warned- it is the Castro- you may see some nudity.When we travel next we might try a box in a new city. We’ve gotten gifts of boxes for friends in their cities and recommended it to others.

My friend said he wanted to check out the Classroom escape room so I booked it on a whim and wow - it was so much fun.The puzzles are intuitive and rewarding and just feel right overall. Plus our game master (supervising teacher?) Benji was incredibly helpful and friendly through the entire experience.We purchased gift cards after we finished the room because we will DEFINITELY come back for another one!Update: came back for additional rooms (Gold Rush with Kai, Heist with Jay). Equally as amazing. Shout out to our game masters for being super kind and helpful!

I've done probably 15-20 escape rooms, and this was one of the best locations I've done. I did four rooms here; I think the children's school one was my favorite.Also, having Priscilla as a host/guide was AMAZING. She's so warm and friendly, but also really excited about the rooms, and took her time to talk with us after the room was over. She made the experience go from great to abjectly wonderful. I would book another room just to be able to talk about with Priscilla afterwards.

Our guide Daniel was best host we’ve had ever, and best escape game place ever and we’ve played over 20. High quality really fun rooms!

Broke out of Special Ops in record time! Daniel was an awesome GM, only giving clues we vitally needed. Will be coming back to an Escape Game someday.

This prison experience was amazing!! I felt the rush as I was trying to figure out how to escape! Highly recommend for a challenge!

Great escape room! It was immersive and puzzles were difficult but not too difficult. Great customer service. We walked in and were able to play again within 15 minutes. The game master was very helpful.

Our Escapely experience in the Castro was amazing! We have a 3 month old baby and it was the ideal adventure to take him on! We went with my in-laws, our best friends and their baby and everyone had a blast. The clues were engaging, challenging, fun, and kept us completely captivated and enthralled throughout. We loved the difficulty level and were perfectly challenged every step of the way. I liked how diverse the clues were and how they all connected. We also loved the other Escapely SF game and gifted one to our friends in DC. I’ve done Escape rooms around the world and Escapely is truly one of the best I’ve ever experienced!

We had a lot of fun solving puzzles and finding things in this area.

I went on a date where we played the Escapely game around SOMA (south of market in San Francisco). The clues were really clever and we had so much fun solving the puzzles. It made our date super fun and engaging. Highly recommend for friends and family to do as well.
