The Presidio area was not what I expected, which made the information given very interesting, especially if you like history. Julie was a great guide and well informed. It ended up being just my daughter and I so, it was like a private tour. We walked the whole area, which fyi, was a previous military fort. That was one of the parts I didn't know. We even learned about Carl the Fog. There are panoramic views of the bay, parks and the Golden Gate Bridge when the fog cooperates. It was a great afternoon.

We had an excellent food tour with Dale who was very knowledgeable, funny, and a great guide! The tour itself was a great mix of tasty food, food history, picturesque views, and general San Francisco history as well. We've done several food tours in the past this was one of the best in terms of spacing the food stops out enough that you had enough time to enjoy what you were eating while also having sufficient time between stops to digest each tasty morsel. This tour is a great way to get an intro to San Francisco and its food scene. Highly recommend!

The tour was very well organized, comfortable, and informative from start to finish.Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about San Francisco. They shared interesting historical facts, local insights, and hidden gems that we would never have discovered on our own. The small group format made the experience much more personal and enjoyable, allowing us to ask questions and interact throughout the tour.We especially appreciated the carefully planned stops and the breathtaking views of the city and surrounding landmarks. The pace was perfect for families, never feeling rushed while still covering a lot of the city's most iconic locations.Our entire family, including the kids, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The tour exceeded our expectations and gave us wonderful memories of San Francisco. I highly recommend taking this Golden Gate Park tour with John! He was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about the park, its history, the flora and fauna and of course, the microclimates of the city. We also got some good recommendations for eats nearby as well as an accurate weather forecast for the remaining days of our visit.

Absolutely book this tour. Best thing we did in San Francisco. It was a wonderful combination of adventure, scenery, storytelling, and personal connection. This is a very special boat and a very special experience! Highly recommend Captain Sal and his boat! Communications and meet-up were clear. Just note you do need to descend a ladder to get onto the boat!

A genuinely delightful experience
I loved John's tour of Golden Gate Park. I highly recommend it for families and anyone into nature and local history. My parents, who are in their 70s and from out-of-state, enjoyed the tranquil walk through several different sections of our park and were wowed by the diverse environments John chose to show us. He wove in his deep knowledge of nature, climate and history to help us understand where we were without being overly didactic. John himself is a pleasure to talk with—a warm, friendly person who truly enjoys getting to know travelers. He even knows some of the park's landscapers and gardeners; John introduced us to a head gardener and we got ask him questions about how he designed a certain section. It was really cool.

I subscribe to the idea that you can’t truly understand people unless you understand where they come from—their history, challenges, and aspirations. This tour did exactly that. It gave me a much deeper appreciation for the Castro’s history and the LGBTQ+ community that helped shape it. Eric is incredibly knowledgeable, warm and that comes across from the moment you meet him. He’s deeply passionate about his community, his city, and preserving the stories that inspire future generations to build a more equitable world. I would highly recommend any of his tours throughout San Francisco.
