This was such a fun tour to do. Greg the guide just has the most amazing knowledge of the history and people of the Haight Ashbury. Enhanced by his own collection of old reels and interviews / these really add to the immersive experience. An easy walk for people of all ages and levels of fitness - Greg makes sure to take his time so everyone is comfortable and interacts - which really enhances the overall tour. Seeing the actual homes of the musicians and others and then having time to explore the Haight afterwards was priceless. A definite must do.

We had a great time seeing the beauty of the California coast. Fred, our guide, was ready and waiting for us when we got to our hotel lobby. He apologized for being a bit early and even offered to stop right away for us to get morning coffee. We declined, but our first break was at a wonderful bakery in Pacifica. Along the drive, he offered history and insights on the the towns we passed through as well as the agriculture and flora. The views of Half Moon Bay, Carmel-by- the-Sea, and Big Sur were stunning. Would highly recommend this great trip, and Fred.

We had an excellent food tour with Dale who was very knowledgeable, funny, and a great guide! The tour itself was a great mix of tasty food, food history, picturesque views, and general San Francisco history as well. We've done several food tours in the past this was one of the best in terms of spacing the food stops out enough that you had enough time to enjoy what you were eating while also having sufficient time between stops to digest each tasty morsel. This tour is a great way to get an intro to San Francisco and its food scene. Highly recommend!

Marciano was beyond five stars — truly a 10/10! From the beginning, he felt less like our tour guide and more like part of the family. He laughed with us, joined our conversations, took amazing photos, shared great stories and movie trivia, and took us to beautiful places we didn't even know we needed to see.Most importantly, he was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating, especially while traveling with our elderly parents. He made our entire Carmel, Monterey, and Big Sur experience easy, comfortable, and unforgettable. His knowledge, generosity, and genuine kindness are unmatched. Absolutely loved this walking tour of the Haight Ashbury area of San Francisco! It was a pleasure to meet Greg since I had previously known him from listening to him on KFOG radio station. I knew I would be treated to a special tour with Greg as a guide. He brings a local's perspective of the area, and it was a terrific way to begin my stay in SF.If you have always wanted to visit Haight Ashbury, I highly recommend Greg's tour!

Me and my husband had a wonderful experience with the tour that was booked with Cool San Francisco. We were picked up at the arranged time, taken to the golden gate bridge where we had 10/15mins for photo opportunity, thank driven to Muir woods stayed for an 1 1/2 hours. Muir woods was not too busy at that time of the morning but when we left it had started to get busy. We than drove to Sausalito and spent an hour around the marina. There was a farmers market and lots of quaint little shops definitely worth visiting. We were than dropped off at Pier 33 with ample time. Given our Alcatraz tickets. We waited for the ferry. Alcatraz is definitely a must. Very eerier and sad to see how the prisoners had lived. What they must have endured. The tour was well organised and our guide Buddy was very knowledgeable in all areas and definitely kept us entertained Have booked a few tours with Cool San Francisco now. Always a good experience.

Absolutely book this tour. Best thing we did in San Francisco. It was a wonderful combination of adventure, scenery, storytelling, and personal connection. This is a very special boat and a very special experience! Highly recommend Captain Sal and his boat! Communications and meet-up were clear. Just note you do need to descend a ladder to get onto the boat!

I subscribe to the idea that you can’t truly understand people unless you understand where they come from—their history, challenges, and aspirations. This tour did exactly that. It gave me a much deeper appreciation for the Castro’s history and the LGBTQ+ community that helped shape it. Eric is incredibly knowledgeable, warm and that comes across from the moment you meet him. He’s deeply passionate about his community, his city, and preserving the stories that inspire future generations to build a more equitable world. I would highly recommend any of his tours throughout San Francisco.
