The best day trip of my life!! So incredibly cool to learn about Native American history, hear a panel with a former incarcerated person about prison reform, explore the island - and I met a former Alcatraz prisoner in the gift shop! :) I didn’t book a ticket far enough in advance to get an official ticket but luckily the Cool San Francisco team was able to squeeze me in and I am so grateful.

Excellent experience. We go every year for wife's birthday and anniversary celebration. Jasmine our waitress took good care of us. Paul the DJ treated us special. Sophie, my wife, 88 years old and we are ballroom dancers. Paul the DJ played Bolero for us for dancing. We enjoyed the food, the bay ride, the party atmosphere, and special treatment. We will go again next July.

We had a fantastic three-hour architectural and mural tour of San Francisco with our guide, Jamie. The tour was originally meant to be two and a half hours, but Jamie generously went well beyond the allotted time, and we were completely engaged throughout.What made the tour especially interesting was how Jamie connected the architecture and murals to the history of San Francisco itself. We heard stories stretching from the Gold and Silver Rush era of the late 1800s, through the city’s changing neighbourhoods, all the way to the Summer of Love in the 1960s.The Haight-Ashbury portion was a particular highlight. Jamie brought the neighbourhood’s counterculture history to life with stories about the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and the hippie movement, pointing out the actual houses, venues and places where they lived, performed and gathered. It made walking through the area feel completely different once you understood what had happened there.Jamie was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and incredibly generous with his time. A fascinating way to experience San Francisco beyond the usual tourist sights, and one we would definitely recommend.

Oh man! What a great tour!!! I picked this one to see beautiful SF architecture and got an excellent dose of the local history too.Such a wonderful experience!! I grew up across the bay in the 60’s. And when family came to visit, we’d take them over to Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, and, of course, to Haight/Ashbury streets - to see the “hippies”.It was so interesting to hear how this area, the Haight , came to life because of the 60’s (& 70’s) Summer of Love. Prior to that, it was just a rough and scrabble neighborhood.On Jamie and Dara’s tour we saw many beautiful Victorians all while hearing great stories about the homes and the architects who built them. Surprisingly we were invited to tour a Victorian which was for sale. It was just by chance and we were a small group - absolutely spectacular! Lucky us!! The murals and street art is incredible too. Such a lovely day, perfect for comfortably walking around.Then Jamie shared many stories about past occupants in those homes - so cool. So real. I remember, as a kid, hearing news stories about the various people and events.The Haight-Ashbury: Architecture & Murals Tour was very enjoyable. I’d highly recommend it to anyone interested in architecture, history, hearing great stories, and having a wonderful afternoon walking and learning about a very cool ‘renowned’ neighborhood in San Francisco.I look forward to go on this tour again. Many of my friends and family want to go with me when I sign up and I’m sure they will.

100% recommend! Our driver was fantastic. We were picked up from our hotel in San Francisco and then transported to Napa Valley wineries. Our driver took photos of our group, recommended certain stops, and provided soft drinks and water. It was a wonderful day!!

Fred was our tour guide for the day from Dingo Tours for this Silicon Valley half day trip from SF. Fred was awesome, full of knowledge about Silicon Valley companies and their history and a very happy and accomodating person. He was also a Brazilian soccer fan, which added to the fun aspect, as we were traveling from Sydney Australia to watch the WC matches.Fred gave us a quick outline of the day. First stop was the Meta office, Menlo Park. Interestingly, it was the same office which Sun Microsystems had previously occupied. Being an ex-Sun employee, I was very nostalgic. Fred gave us a quick drive around the campus and then parked to take a picture of us in front of the Meta logo! Funny part was, behind the Meta logo was the old Sun logo, which was such a nice coincidence!The next stop was Stanford University. It was a zip code of its own. Fred gave us some tips on what to see in the short time. We went to see the church, the gift shop and the tower which house a lot of Hoover memorabilia. The view from the top was brilliant, you could capture the width of the entire Stanford campus. The ground floor was a museum. The entry to top floor was ticketed at USD8 per person. Was a good experience.Then next 2 stops were Google office, Mountain View and Apple office, Cupertino. The Google office was just an office with the ground floor having a Google store. After some quick pictures with Google sign boards, we went to Apple which was our final destination. That was a rare experience, getting into Apple Store and visitor’s centre. Shows how Apple can market themselves to blow the socks off its competitors. The Apple visitors centre had a model of the entire campus including office which was built in the shape of a space station. They have interactive iPads which gives a complete immersive experience of each building when you look at the actual model and tap the same building on the iPad. It also had a store and cafe with clean toilets. And if you and T up to the second floor, you would see the actual office building. Great experience for professional nerds who always wanted to be part of Apple, even if from the outside.Overall the tour was a good experience and would def recommend this tour, specially with Fred who was amazing throughout!
