San Francisco Chocolate Tours

We had an excellent food tour with Dale who was very knowledgeable, funny, and a great guide! The tour itself was a great mix of tasty food, food history, picturesque views, and general San Francisco history as well. We've done several food tours in the past this was one of the best in terms of spacing the food stops out enough that you had enough time to enjoy what you were eating while also having sufficient time between stops to digest each tasty morsel. This tour is a great way to get an intro to San Francisco and its food scene. Highly recommend!

Beautiful tour! Don was an amazing guide who entertained us the whole way and gave us some fun facts about every scenery we saw. We arrived on time to each location and got amazing experiences at both wineries! Definitely worth it!

Dale from Stretchy Pants took us on a walking tour of the SF wharf area to Pier 39. We started in Ghirardelli Square and enjoyed some delicious hot chocolate, seafood tacos, chowder and donuts along the way. We also got to learn about the history of the waterfront and see the pier sea lions which was super fun. He is super patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Great tour with Marcy who was a really engaging guide. We enjoyed not only the food, but her great knowledge of the area and the small museums we visited which provided visuals and brought the history alive. Highly recommended.

What a great wine tour. Our bus driver, Don, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about wines and about Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties. He kept us all informed during the entire drive to our three destinations. He let us relax and listen to classical music on the way home. The two wineries we visited, Castelo Di Amorosa and Artesa, are arguably the two best wineries in Napa. The service at both wineries was excellent, and we were given plenty of time to enjoy our wines, do some shopping and take some photos. In between our two winery stops, we had a lunch stop in downtown Napa, where we had plenty of time to enjoy excellent food (and more wine) and do some shopping. Also, it was fun to meet people from all over the country. The 12 of us had a most wonderful time. I highly recommend this wine tour. You will not be disappointed.

Great tour! Definitely bring your Stretchy Pants as you will eat so much food, but with a good amount of walking and learning about SF’s dangerous Barbary Coast past, Alcatraz, the Golden Gare Bridge, etc. Though Pier 39 is touristy, I felt like we cut through that there and learned about some of its gritty history and community feel. I’m a vegetarian and my partner has a peanut allergy and though this tour is ideal for seafood lovers, the guide kept checking in and accommodated us well.

George was a great tour guide/bus driver. We learned a lot of info about wine and the wineries we visited were beautiful and had wonderful hosts/hostesses!

We had a fantastic time on this trip. The group size was just right, and our guide Judith was super nice and friendly - and so passionate about sharing her knowledge with us. She was super organised and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed ourselves. The tastings were great, really fun and informal. FYI: There is some guidance on what styles to choose, but not any expert information shared on the grapes/terroir/tasting technique. It would be great to have had more time to walk around the grounds/rooms at Amorosa, so maybe the tasting time could be reduced there slightly. Amorosa was a fantastic winery to visit for our first time in Napa, and Artesa is also amazing - and such a great contrast in terms of design. It was great to see downtown Napa. Tip: It’s a bonus if you do some research for ideas for lunch before the trip - so you’re not worrying about deciding where to go once you’re dropped off. Highly recommend this tour, such great value and so well organised.

Roche Winery was the best out of the 3 we visited. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The other 2 did not have a relaxing environment that I was hoping for.

I did the Fisherman's Wharf Tour. I'm a San Francisco native, but I learned so many different new and interesting things about my city that I didn't even know of. The food was great, and our tour guide, Jacob, was fantastic and kept the whole group engaged throughout the entire tour. Highly recommended!

We did a wine tour from San Francisco that exceeded all our expectations. We visited two wineries, and one of them the Castello di Amorosa, a real gem among the vineyards of the Napa Valley.The best moment was the visit to Castello di Amorosa. The place is simply spectacular: an authentic medieval Italian castle built stone by stone in the middle of California, surrounded by barrels and stone walls, which made the experience completely magical. The wines, amazing: especially the Cabin Sauvignon and sweet rosé, which we took home, . The second winery was an excellent introduction: small, familiar, with an intimate atmosphere and very warm attention. They explained each wine with passion, and you could see the love with which the land and grapes work.the amazing chocolate tasting too, very good combinationIn addition, the tour was very well organized from San Francisco: the guide was punctual, friendly and very informed, and the transfer was comfortable and safe. Ideal if you want to enjoy without worrying about driving, we went with our son and in both places were very attentive with him to allow us all to enjoyI recommend it 100% for those who want to combine history, architecture and high quality wines in a perfect getaway from the city. We are very much looking forward to coming back!

Our tour guide Dan was absolutely amazing! He explained everything along the tour and was very thorough in managing our group. He was friendly and shared personal experiences along the way. We enjoyed the day immensely! The first winery, Castello Di Amorosa had a wonderful variety of wines along with good food to match. The castle was incredible. The second winery was also absolutely beautiful with good wines and delicious chocolates. The views of the countryside were breathtaking. We had an amazing experience!

Fisherman's Wharf is a neighborhood and popular tourist attraction in San Francisco, California, United States. It roughly encompasses the northern waterfront area of San Francisco from Ghirardelli Square or Van Ness Avenue east to Pier 35 or Kearny Street. The F Market streetcar runs through the area, the Powell / Hyde cable car used to line runs to Aquatic Park, at the edge of Fisherman's Wharf, and the Powell / Mason cable car line runs a few blocks away in the past.
