Great tour!
I believe that the Alcatraz tour is a must do if you are in San Francisco. I spent a couple hours out at the rock and that seemed to be about the right amount of time. A big shout out to Viatot because there was some confusion with my tickets as I bought it with another tour. Cool San Francisco was great at straightening it out and everything took place without a hitch.

Booking online easy and ferry boarding easy. At Alcatraz there is quite a steep walk up to the tour start - then a free audio provided and tour to follow. Extremely interesting - as expected - and much enjoyed! Tip would be to have a clothing layer - the wind in the exercise yard is biting and we were there on an extremely hot day! Views stunning.

What a fun morning!
I joined this tour after my original plans got cancelled, and it ended up being the best day of my trip! I particularly enjoyed getting to experience the Chinatown where people actually live and work, not just the Chinatown that is performed for tourists. Linda made a point of asking each of us if there was anything in particular we wanted to hear or learn about before we took off. We also had a group member who was born and rasied in China, so it was interesting to hear her perspective and input regarding the differences between Chinese Chinese culture and American Chinese culture. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour to others visiting San Francisco!
