San Francisco Self-guided Tours & Rentals

We had an incredible time with their bikes. Staff were friendly and informative. We spent at least half the day exploring the park. Got lost once called them and they answered the phone (a modern miracle!) to guide us out of our mistake,. We really really recommend doing this you see so much more by bike and can stop and lock up for refreshments too. The park has ok bathrooms around too.

Lenaël was very clear and truly very welcoming. He gave us all the necessary explanations so that we could enjoy our bike outing. Thanks to him!!

Super friendly and helpful staff. My wife was a little anxious to ride across the Golden Gate Bridge but the store representative gave us all the info and tips we needed for an awesome day out.I’d suggest rent an e-bike for the day and ride across the bridge to Sausalito. Plenty of photo opportunities and a great way to see San Francisco from the other side of the bay.Sausalito is a nice place to visit with quiet streets and quaint shops.If you had enough of cycling you can even get a ferry back to Fishermans Wharf from there.

Their E bike was comfy and had a very impressive charge. Additionally, before ever starting, I had to call Customer Service to fix a mistake I made with the booking, and they were very easy to connect with. I ended up spending several hours going as far north as San Quentin & the Larkspur ferry, was able to take this bike on the ferry back to town, then rode as far south as the ballpark and as far west as Lombard Street. After all of this, the bike still had 3 of its 4 battery bars (granted, I turned it off when not using it, and did not use the e-assist for *every* single mile). For all this and more, I would be willing to consider this company the next time I in any town they operate in.

quick service，friendly，and got us on the bicycles very quickly，reasonable price，and overnight extention w/ a small additional fee is worth it！（next morning still have a few good hours around the beach sites）this is the 3rd year we have come and rented here，my kid is growing up w/ great memories，great bridge views，and with a stop @ near by Safeway，you can get decent deli food and wines to have for a picnic on a sunny day！

We had a great time on the E bikes. We rode all the way to Muir Woods, which was a treacherous ride, but beautiful scenery. We had to take a taxi back to Sausalito. The bikes were great, and we had a wonderful time.

We rented there, two bikes for the day. They were on time ready for us, gave us good information and bikes were in pretty good condition and ajusted to our needs. Lily was friendly and efficient! We biked down to Sausalito and Tiburon. We are over there and took the ferry back from Tiburon for a few dollars (14 USD each of my memory is right) What an amazing day we had!!!!

Was really kind and wonderful when our family rented bikes. We suggest everybody does this activity.

Absolutely brilliant experice, very helpful, maps included also lock and key. We hired our bikes for day and if you are anything like us and get distracted by views etc its most definitely worth doing this. Bikes were great, good condition. No deposit needed which also is amazing just passport required. Great service many thanks for looking after us. Friendly staff.

Great day! Booked the rentals ahead of time through Cool San Francisco. Got there around 9 am when the shop opened. Several associates were there to assist us. Shout out to Sadiq for taking care of us! We were on our bikes with locks and helmets in minutes. One of the guides helped us adjust our seats and we were off. The booking clearly states the Beach Street address. Right next to Ghirardelli and easy access to Golden Gate Bridge. Our family of 5 biked to Sausalito without a problem. We had plenty of time to enjoy lunch and shopping before taking the ferry back. Then biked around the wharf a bit. The shop closes at 7 so no rushing necessary. I would definitely recommend this company!

Used these guys before, but a guided tour round Central Park which was brilliant. When I found out they had opened a store in SF it made sense to use them again, despite cheaper and more convenient companies near our hotel. We rented E-bikes instead of push bikes this time to cope with the monstrous hills! Can’t fault the company again. Only reason they have a four stars is, when I checked there website they said they were open till 9pm so the plan was to arrive around midday to do Golden Gate Bridge, the presidio and Golden gate park. On arrival though the guy told us they were shutting at 5 as they had gone to winter opening times, but the fee was still the same as what it would have cost till 9pm. I think they need to make sure the site reflects winter opening times as well as on here, because at the time of writing this, it’s still showing 9pm.

The rental guy was very nice and also explained the way to go to Sausalito. The bikes were fine, the tour to Sausalito is perfect because there is a great route for cyclists, through the Golden gate. The only drawback is that the saddle of a bike was not fixed and therefore a bit uncomfortable

The quality of your trip is going to depend on your own attitude and preparation. Make sure you take water and maybe a snack. If you’re not used to long bike trips make sure to pace yourself. The hills are no joke. Give yourself plenty of time. The bikes are typical rental bikes so don’t expect a high performance machine. They do the job.

We rented a couple of E-bikes for the day and it was a great choice. The staff was polite and patient explaining everything we had to know. We made a trip across the Golden Gate Bridge all the way to Sausalito and back enjoying the scenic views. They came in really handy when going over hills and we felt no tiredness after a day of biking. The Golden Gate Park itself was amazing as well, a green oasis in the city.
